There has been a church on our South Elmsall site for over one hundred years. The current building dates from 1910. It was established by Anglicans inspired by the Oxford Movement whose aim was to restore to the Church of England that which had been lost at the Reformation: catholic understanding, spirituality and an awareness of the the Church’s unique calling under God. Priests and religious sisters of the Oxford Movement went to areas where there was great social and spiritual need. They carried with them the message of Christ’s gospel and tried to show how it could be lived out in practice.
We aim to carry on this Christian witness, along with our ecumenical partners, to the glory of God and in service to the local community.
